The Bencik Family

Gloomy skies and ominous thunderstorms surrounding the island actually made for an absolutely stunning backdrop for the Bencik Family’s session this past week. As foreboding as the weather seemed they were in great spirits and had full trust that their session would turn out beautifully, and I’m so glad they did! This trip was a special retreat for the family with many members traveling from far away to celebrate their patriarch’s 75th birthday, and there was tons of love and excitement flowing around. Here are a few favorites from our morning:

Brooks and Reagan are One!

My little men turned one this past week! Crazy, I know. I’ll spare you the whole “where has the time gone” deal and say this: no matter how fast or how slow time has seemed to move these past twelve months, I have loved every single minute. The laughter, tears, and straight up weirdness has been the highlight of my life, and I’m so thrilled to be your mama.

We celebrated with a trip to the National Aquarium on their actual birthday, and then threw a nice big party this past Saturday. The theme was kind of a wintery mountain lodge deal, and I may have gotten a little into it 🙂 It’s my right as a first time parent, right? I’m horrible about blogging my own boys so I made a special attempt to capture as much of this “one-ness” as I could:

That mullet…And that tongue. All. The. Time. This is my grandmother, Gaye. She’s 90. And she’s awesome. The audience. What life with twins is really like… We love you guys to the moon and back. Every day with you is a perfect day. Here’s to a lifetime more!

The Speidel Family

How sweet is this little face?! I loved spending time with this little man and his big brother and sister this past week. Jordan, Logan, and Peyton are truly some of the sweetest, most creative kids. So full of energy and so sweet to each other. While these pictures are mainly for Jordan, I couldn’t resist making him share the spotlight with his brother and sister a little 🙂

Beautiful eyes and lovely, carefree smiles run deep in this beautiful family.

This past weekend I met up with these two stunning women at Miss Molly’s Inn to capture a little bit of their lovely personalities and their timeless styles. I loved the creativity that flowed out of Kim, the daughter, and her aesthetic for Victorian decor and art. Both woman exude a confident, strong vibe with a refined feminine edge that made for some absolutely stunning images.

It was an absolute pleasure to meet you both and to be able to capture a bit of your lovely spirits.
