Mountain views, horses, and a stunning couple-obviously this session was a dream to shoot. Add in Stela’s adorably bubbly, affectionate personality and Dave’s laid back, caring nature and you end up with this. We did a little exploring at a gorgeous estate in Aldie (where they first met) and took advantage of all that beautiful Virginia horse country, while capturing these two just being their sweet selves.

I’ve been excited to photograph Susan and John’s wedding since our earliest conversations, and am so excited to share their day now.  Susan’s energy and laid back attitude shone through even in text, and paired with the planning she was putting into the day I could tell would be nothing short than what it was; simultaneously energetic and laid back, with a wonderful eye for detail all around.

Susan and John are a perfect fit for each other.  Their personalities complement each other in every way, drawing friends and family in to one big, fun, outgoing group.  The day started at the Fairfield Inn & Suites followed with a sweet, heartfelt ceremony at the Robert Reed Park in Chincoteague, and ended with panoramic views of the water from Ropewalk, Chincoteague.  From start to finish it was full of excitement, love, and support, and I’m so glad to have had the opportunity to be a part of it all.

It was such a pleasure spending time with Kate and Christopher this past weekend. I’ve known Kate’s family for quite some time and it is truly wonderful to witness this next stage. Anyone who knows Kate’s mother, Susan, knows that she has absolutely impeccable taste, so it made perfect sense to start our session at her home. Kate and Christopher were great sports and allowed me to parade them up and down Main Street as well to take advantage of all that historic Warrenton has to offer.
These two are such a sweet, easy going couple and were completely natural in front of the camera. Here are just a few favorites:

Sarah and Kevin’s wedding this past weekend was an absolute pleasure to be a part of. Every detail was taken into account; from the intricate lacework on Sarah dress to the inclusion of the Yam and Grux, the furry members of their family. The entire day took place at a private home on Chincoteague Island, with the deck serving as the perfect ceremony and reception site (complimented by a stunning sunset). Surrounded by loved ones from all across the country, they laughed, loved, and celebrated the night away.  I could gush on about all the little bits of this day that were awesome (like the home crafted beverages!) but I’ll keep it brief and get right to the images!

Stephanie and Chris’s wedding this past Saturday was everything I dreamed it would be and more.  Since I first found out they were getting engaged (sorry Steph, I may have had an idea of when Chris was planning to pop the question 🙂 ) I’ve been excitedly anticipating this day.  Stephanie is one of the most beautiful people I know, both inside and out, and I’ve been honored to count her as a dear friend for over 10 years.  I don’t think she could have found a more perfect match in Chris; his sense of humor and care for others fits her perfectly, and they are such a joy to be around.

Stephanie and Chris had an amazing vision for their wedding, utilizing her family’s farm and adding touches of both of their personalities in to compliment the already stunning setting (including, in true Stephanie fashion, re-purposing her mother’s wedding dress into one of the most beautiful wedding dress I’ve seen).  And to top it off everything was tied together with an unbelievable hurricane-inspired sunset over the open fields.

Stephanie and Chris, thank you so much for letting me capture this day for you.  I love you both dearly and am excited for whatever your future together has in store. There are probably too many images in this post, but I loved everything about this wedding and couldn’t bring myself to cut it down more! Hope your time in Hawaii is as amazing as your wedding day!

Serene waters, a calm breeze, and wonderful friends and family surrounded Angela and Matt on their perfect day this past weekend.  Angela was absolutely radiant in an exquisitely detail gown, topped off with some of the coolest shoes I’ve seen on a bridal party to date, and was only matched in appearance by the looks of sheer bliss Matt that cast her direction all day.  They were married water front at the Jackspot on Chincoteague Island, a place that they have shared together as their relationship has grown. I absolutely loved every detail of the day, from the care and attentiveness they showed each other to the stunning blush lace bridesmaids gowns; no detail was overlooked and not a minute was anything less than perfect.
