This past Saturday I was able to join Lindsey and Michael for not one, but two sweet ceremonies to celebrate their marriage. I first met this couple five years ago and had no doubt back then that their paths would come to this (of course, I never imagined I’d be the one to capture it for them but that’s another story). They have such a beautiful balance of friendship and love that makes it obvious that this is one to last. We started the morning at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in Kensington, Maryland, where they held a private ceremony, and then headed out to the Marriott Ranch in Hume for the ring ceremony and reception. I absolutely loved the details that Lindsey put into everything; you could tell a lot of love and thought was put into this day. And the venue itself was breathtaking. Here are a few of my favorite’s from the day.

After the first ceremony, they headed out to the Marriott Ranch to do a little more prepping and to fit in a few shots before the rain came in.

A special thanks to my assistant, Megan, for grabbing some details before the rain started in. Luckily it decided to pause just long enough for the ceremony.

The Maid of Honor and Best Man both gave amazing speeches (accompanied by a song and dance number).

The lively atmosphere was so contagious, it was all I could do to not join in a dance or two.
