Megan & Shawn

There were so many unique, beautiful, and flat out fun things about Megan and Shawn’s wedding that I barely know where to start. We began the day at the 1848 Island Manor house on Chincoteague, a stunning, quaint venue that never disappoints. Megan and Shawn opted for a first look, with a hilarious twist involving Megan’s biggest “competition” for Shawn’s affections. The ceremony took place on Assateague Island with another really unique addition-the KOA Trolley delivered the guests and bridal party to the site making for a fun start to the ceremony. While the trolley and location were impressive enough alone, it was the couple’s emotional, heart felt vows that really stole the show. I don’t think I’ve ever seen so many tears and smiles combined in one place. The reception followed back at the 1848 Island Manor House with an extremely fun, energetic crowd. Hilarious speeches and an awesome replacement to the glass clinking tradition, the “Pour Four More Oar” (as you can tell from the pictures it is definitely a party starter!) rounded out the events for the day, followed by tons of dancing, laughter, and hugs deep into the night.

It was hard to showcase so much unique details and emotion in one blog post, but here’s a little look into Megan and Shawn’s day:
