I met up with Elizabeth and Tyler for their Assateague Maternity session this past fall while they were in Chincoteague for vacation.  As you can tell they were both totally laid back and light hearted, up for whatever I threw at them. Their sweet little girl is one lucky lady to have such wonderful, caring parents.

Katelin and Matthew traveled down from my hometown (completely coincidentally) to spend a little time together on Chincoteague before the arrival of their little one, and we were able to spend some time together on Assateague for their maternity session to commemorate this anticipatory time in their lives.  The loving attention Matthew showed Katelin, and the comfort Katelin found with Matthew was absolutely endearing.  I always say this, but I truly did have a hard time narrowing down the “favorites” from this session.  Here’s the best I could do 🙂

This past fall Venke and Heath welcomed a beautiful little boy.   Here’s a little glance at a few quiet, excited moments on Assateague just weeks before he blessed their world.

This past season I’ve been taking a little break from blogging. Nothing is wrong. In fact, everything has been great. I’ve met so many new people this year and because I’ve wanted to put 100% into creating beautiful, personal images for them I decided to save a little of that extra energy by not blogging frequently. Now that things are starting to slowly wind down I thought I’d start sharing a few of my favorite shoots from over the summer.

First up Susan, Brandon, and their very soon to be here little girl. You may recognize them from the blog already. Last summer I photographed their beautiful destination wedding on Chincoteague. So as you can guess I was super stoked to hear that they would be back this summer and are expecting their first little one. Here are a just a few favorites of these beautiful parents-to-be.

Two things I love about this session:

1) These freakin awesome people
2) This crazy fog

I feel like I had been unknowingly waiting on the “we’re pregnant” text from Stephanie and Chris practically since I photographed their wedding, and was genuinely so thrilled to hear the time had come! We met up at Stephanie’s family’s farm (the same place they were married) to capture some sunrise pictures with little baby to be Henry  Instead of a gorgeous sunrise, however, we were met with this crazy, moody, equally as gorgeous fog. I was actually pretty stoked about it and driving to the session I was actually afraid that it would burn off before our shoot, but it stuck around and I’m really feeling the vibe it gave to farm.
These two are going to be the best parents, no joke. I can’t wait to meet their little guy this summer and to welcome Stephanie to the “boy mom” club 🙂

Hey there!  It’s been a long, long time since I posted anything personal on here (I know, I’m slacking).  Life has been pretty interesting around here with twin toddlers and life in general, and as if we weren’t already in completely over our heads we decided to add one final member to the family this summer!  The boys are pretty nonplussed about the whole situation; I guess to twins having a new sibling is nothing new.  But we are pretty ecstatic

Having only knowledge of twin pregnancy has made this time around seem like the first.  Which in most manners is pretty cool and totally weird.  With the boys I had just about every pregnancy symptom imaginable due to the huge surge of hormones, and by 26 weeks I looked and felt like I was full term.  This time around I feel absolutely tiny in comparison to pictures from the boys (I know it’s just one but I had prepped myself for the whole “everything stretches easier the second time” idea, and fully expected to start showing much earlier than close to 20 weeks).  And with the exception of some pretty stubborn morning sickness I feel good, at least as good as anyone who is rapidly putting on weight while chasing two mini tornadoes around all day can feel.

Anyway, enough small talk and down to the real point of this post.  With Baby 3 due in July I’ve had to make some big adjustments to my summer scheduling as far as weddings and lifestyle sessions are concerned.  I will be on official maternity leave from early July through mid September, and have limited the amount of sessions I’ll be accepting in June to ensure that I can keep up with my workload before then.  For anyone who has already booked, no worries you’re set.  I have also left a small amount of sessions open for recurring clients in that June-July window, so if we meet every year please check in!  If you’re a new client (thanks for checking my work out by the way!) I currently am only booking for a few dates in May, the first week of June, and anything post-September 22nd.

I’m so sorry for any inconvenience and to those of you who I either won’t have the pleasure of meeting this year or the opportunity to catch up with I hope to cross paths again!
